报告人简介:RaulPayr教授1999年博士毕业于西班牙瓦伦西亚理工大学工业工程专业,并于2009年担任该校的全职教授。Payri教授现为瓦伦西亚理工大学CMT研究所副所长和燃油喷射系统团队负责人。其研究工作主要涉及热力动力机械的燃油喷射、喷雾和燃烧领域。
2010年以来,Payri教授主持参与欧盟、西班牙政府科研项目35项,立项经费超过500万欧元。此外,主持戴姆勒、宝马、捷豹、标致、福特、通用、雷诺、菲亚特、德尔福、卡特彼勒等国际知名企业项目26项,立项经费超过240万欧元。迄今为止发表SCI学术论文144篇,国际会议论文80篇,h-citation index 40,其文章被引频次在西班牙机械工程领域排第一。Payri教授现为国际著名期刊International Journal of Engine Research主编,Atomization and Sprays编委,同时担任了28届欧洲喷雾雾化会议(ILASS-Europe)的主席。此外,Payri教授还是国际发动机燃烧合作组织(Engine Combustion Network)三位负责人之一,负责组织每月一次的线上会议和每年一次的国际研讨会。
报告简介:Primary atomization refers to the process by which a liquid is broken up into small droplets or ligaments. It is an important phenomenon in various applications such as fuel injection, spray coating, and combustion systems. Primary atomization can be achieved through a variety of mechanisms including surface waves, turbulence, and shear forces. The resulting droplets or ligaments can have a significant impact on the overall performance of the system, including combustion efficiency, mixing quality, and spray characteristics. Understanding the physics of primary atomization is therefore crucial for optimizing the design and performance of these systems.
Despite many significant contributions made in the field of multiphase flows along the last decades, no explicit answer has been given on how to interpret the turbulent flow generated in such complex flows. For this reason, this study aims at providing an answer to this question by means of a novel methodology that may be applied to the general problem of turbulent multiphase flows. In this specific frame, the use of Direct Numerical Simulation of a turbulent round spray emerging from a plain-orifice atomizer and aprefilmair blast atomizer will be studied in detail.
